I had done nothing but walk back and forward to the fridge. I wasn’t even hungry, but cloy of all the food I was consuming. Lockdown had a strange effect on my eating habits. It was strange. I missed the train journey into work. The birdsong in the air was pure magic to my ears. Now all I hear is the sound of me eating, as I move from the computer to the kitchen and back again.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
