QUESTIONS   This week is a philosophical (chewy) question week.

In your opinion, what should be humanity’s goal?

To slow down the damage we are doing to the earth with our reliance on plastic. There has to be a way to help the environment. I had a Chinese Take-away today, and it was all in plastic containers. If there were a way of taking them back to the shops so they could be re-used. The same with plastic milk bottles. If there was a place you could take the empties back to, so the manufacturer could use them again, rather than them going into the ocean.

Are you hesitant to speak your opinions?

I’m scared to speak my opinions.

In what ways has society changed during your lifetime? What do you think caused these changes?

We played outside more, and there was less pressure on us to be perfect. Now teenagers have social media, where they think they see other people’s perfect lives. We met with friends, walked to town, and were able to make our mistakes in private.

If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow this person to be your friend?

Probably not, I’m much kinder about other people’s mistakes than my own.

GRATITUDE SECTION  (as always, optional)

I am grateful for my family, they have always been there for me. I love them so much, they give me inspiration to be the best version of myself. All the kindness I show others I have learnt off them. I am also grateful for my granddaughter, she gives me a reason to smile and I will protect her always.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Thanks, Diana, for Sharing Your World! You are the first person to say that you’d ditch the frienemy (which would be my label for such a ‘friend’). Most folks claim to be grateful for the reality check, but then I suspect some of our inner voices are a lot nastier than others in a spectrum kind of way. That was some very honest sharing too! Your opinion shines through here (blogging) just fine, and perhaps one day you’ll feel able to do that IRL too, but I know it’s a scary thing to contemplate. Particularly if one has lots of frienemies… 🙂 Have a wonderful week, and your gratitude section was amazing!
