Sharing My World

What’s The Strangest Thing In Your Refrigerator? There are an assortment of things in my fridge, but none of them strange. It is more that I need to throw a few things away. My freezer definitely needs defrosting.

Would You Rather Hear The Music Of Johann Sebastian Bach Played By A Barbershop Quartet, Or A Heavy Metal Band? A Heavy Metal Band, you have to love some rock and roll. There is nothing like Heavy Metal to help with stress.

If You Could Erase One Event From History, Which One Would You Erase? The Holocaust should be erased.

If Your Food Is Bad At A Restaurant, Do You Say Something? I went to a restaurant where we waited an hour and a half for burnt burgers, which tasted so dry, they didn’t taste of anything. It was so bad they offered us free pudding, which had the wrong colour jam on top. My daughter had to look twice before seeing it was mould. My daughter told them about it, and we were offered the meal at half price. We should have not paid anything at all. I never ate there again.

British don’t tend to complain about anything, we queue for many things, but I always made sure nobody else went there. We did complain, but quietly.

GRATITUDE SECTION (as always, optional):

On one side of the earth we’re facing upcoming Spring, and on the other Autumn.   What positive or uplifting thought do these changes bring to you?

I love Spring flowers. The pink blossom on the trees, and daffodils are a sign of warm weather. The same with autumn. I love the colour of the leaves.

  1. Thanks Diana for Sharing Your World! Spring is my personal favorite time of year and it’s so refreshing to see the sun again, even though I still need my winter woolies to go outside. It’s COLD out there! I love daffodils! They are so cheerful and do herald the advent of Spring! But I love all the flowers that bloom. I have a vague plan to work on my garden this year, but I suppose we’ll see. I know the British have an innate discretion and are reserved (from what I hear), and therefore doing the “American thing” and complaining loudly about something displeasing is probably very bad manners. I am a complainer IF the food or service aren’t up to standard. Moldy food? I’d have gotten up and left and then called whatever the Health Department is over the pond there on that place. If they tried to get payment? I’d probably tell them I’d see them in court first. But you handled the situation very properly. Thanks for participating today and have a great week! 😀
