He was the best security dog ever.

That’s what Scamp thought anyway, although nobody ever listened to him.

What if that pigeon attacked them in the night, or the postman, he couldn’t be trusted.

The worst of all were the cats, they were always up to mischief, and the poor gerbils had the worst night ever.

In the morning, they were both gone, and he had been barking all night, trying to warn the house of the murder.

Perhaps next time they would not tell the security guard to stop barking.
