‘Do you want me to read your palm?’
Sarah wasn’t sure that was a good idea; to predict the future just by looking at the lines on her hand. Yet, life had thrown so much at her. She wanted to know, would her bad luck end. Was she destined to meet the love of her life? Was she going to have children?
She stepped inside the tent, and immediately the mist enveloped her like a misty morning. Told to cross her palm with silver first, it almost seemed like it was a joke her friends were playing. Yet, she had never seen this woman before.
‘You have a long life line, and have seen your fair share of problems. It isn’t quite over yet, but I can promise you there is something good on the horizon. A journey, of sorts, but you will not travel from your home.’
‘Will I meet someone?’ She wasn’t sure why being a mum held so much importance. Only that she was missing something, to help a person learn, like her mum did with her. She saw her brother, sister married with their own children.
‘Yes, but they will not be as they seem – but as long as your trust your instincts, life will get better. You are in charge of your own destiny, nothing bad will happen because you fear it to happen. You are strong, and when you become a Mum, your children will be strong too.’
‘Children? More than one.’
‘Yes, but your strength will give them the strength they need. Be positive about life, even when there is no need to be,’ she said.
Outside, she wondered what she had just been part of. She was thirty in a few days time, perhaps she only told her what she wanted to hear. At least she wasn’t going to meet a handsome stranger.
