A Great Comfort

Roses are an amazing flower, beautiful to look at, but sturdy too.

They are my favourite because they were my dad’s favourite. They were a great comfort for him to look out of the window and see them bloom. I have a rose bush in my front garden. It always gives me a sense of happiness when I see them grow, despite my over indulgent style of gardening. I haven’t got a green thumb, and my husband’s idea of what I do is hacking instead of pruning, but nature always finds a way of fighting back and I end up with more damage than the flowers.

Still my roses can handle that style of gardening, and I will always be happier when they grow. Red roses are beautiful, and will always make me smile.
