Six Sentences – Abstract

‘I don’t really see what is so special about abstract art,’ Charlotte said, looking up at her teacher.

‘I’m not sure I do either, but you have to admit the colours are really nice.’

Charlotte took another look at the painting, where the eye was in the wrong place, and there were lines all over the place. It just looked plain weird.

‘Miss, what do you see when you look at the painting?’

It wasn’t a question she was prepared to answer, unless she was going to mention that , three year old, Theresa painted a picture just like it, at a fraction of the cost.
