NASA has gifted you a newly invented experimental Invisibility Cloak. You have it for 72 hours – it’s all yours with no caveats or questions asked – how will you use it? For good or for pranking?
Give some examples of your usage.

I wouldn’t use it for pranking, but I would use it to go to places where I would be a little nervous to go.

What would you never do for low money? Ever? But if the money was high enough, what would you do?

I would never kill anyone.

How do you feel if a fly lands on your ice cream – will you discard it to the trash or continue to eat it?

I would continue to eat it, I have been brought up, where both my parents worked, for not a lot of money. We were always well fed, clothes and most importantly loved. I would brush away some, where the fly had landed, but that would be all.

What’s the craziest thing you could ever write about that is ultimately utterly random and abstract and not typically you or your style?

I just wrote about an AI robot, who was designed to look after a human child, like they were their own mother. Only at the age of eighteen, the child moves on and they have a memory wipe.

Is there any time that a yes is a no and a no is a yes?

Sometimes, it is difficult for me to say no. I would do anything for my children, when they ask, I tend to say yes.

You have died; what will you come back as – a brick in the wall, a mushroom, a dysfunctional ghost, a memory, or reincarnated into someone or something else?

I would come back as a dysfunctional ghost, why change a habit of a lifetime?

Do you believe in the five-second rule concerning dropped foods?

Definitely, I don’t like wasting food.

If you were a weed, what would you be?

I would be a daisy.

How many ducks does it take to swim in a pond?

Seven, One Mum duck and six of her ducklings.

How many credible edible slices can you create from a 12″ pizza?

No more than eight.

You are watching a film, playing a game or otherwise occupied and thoroughly engaged and engrossed when suddenly the doorbell/telephone chimes/rings – do you answer it or let it go?

I would answer the phone, you don’t know if it is urgent.

“Oh my, it’s the end of the world as we know it! The unbelievable has happened, and the dead are rising as zombies and running rampage through your town – You have ten minutes to pack your survival kit for a world that has turned upside down – what five items will you be packing?

I would take my dog, some books, any food that won’t go off, and my mobile (with charger) so I can contact my children.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
