  1. Wedge It is a slice of cake, smaller than a half, but bigger than a quarter.

2. Mohican It is the bubbles on top of your hair when you have a long soak in a bath with a book.

3. French Plait It is like an English plate, but full of frog legs instead of chicken.

4. Pageboy A boy, who reads a menu in a restaurant. He gets paid per word he reads.

5. Bouffant Another type of French Plait, except this time it is for French cakes.

6. Pixie – It is a bag of mixed sweets, served after every dinner in a French restaurant. It is so popular, English restaurants are thinking of using the same technique.

7. Bob – It is the spider crawling around my ceiling on a cold night.

8. Crew Cut It is how a pirate captain pushes a man over board when there isn’t enough room for the treasure and the crew.

9. Buzz Cut – It is when you cut your hair yourself at home, sometimes taking too much hair off.

10. Bunches – They are children who meet in the school playground for their lunch playdates.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
