My most memorable, is that I am kind and have a friendly smile. I find reacting to them difficult because when I am given one; I struggle to accept it. Sometimes it is nice for friends to say your haircut is great, or what you are wearing suits you. Even when I am positive comments about my writing. It is challenging to choose the right words as a thankyou.
My husband and son can be brutally honest. Not because they are being mean. They are both autistic. I remember my little boy, when he was eight years old, saying, ‘you look like a witch, with your grey hair.’ He said it with a straight face and the woman behind me in the queue looked angry. I laughed, because my it was that colour and to him he was literally telling the truth. It is not quite the same with my partner. He knows better than to be horrible, but he will not give me a compliment unless he really means it.
well that means when you get a compliment it’s worth it 💜💜💜
I like you

I’ve heard that the struggle to accept a compliment is quite common. I struggle with it too, like I have to disclaim it for accuracy or something, and then someone told me that when someone gives you a compliment, you should just say thank you. I try to remember that!
