I don’t talk about politics or religion because that is a subject. Most people have an opinion. I have my beliefs, and it is not fair to think other people will be the same.
Being a family orientated person, I talk about my children, and grandchildren. Like another blogger said, I won’t reveal their names or photographs. It is too public a place to display images of my loved ones, and I skeptical of the internet. Facebook, Instagram or X (still call it Twitter). Unless you have your settings in private, anyone can see them. Sometimes I have shared images of my dogs. One has passed. The other is a Shottie. Forty-two pounds’ worth of muscle. He can look after himself.
I steer away from sites which are openly giving advice to other writers. By that I mean, they are telling you the perfect way to market your book to make money.
It is difficult, because most of us blog to be in touch with a writing community. I think of the spam comments, where they try to lure you in, to click a link. I was watching a program about scams last night. Where if you post you are struggling to get in an account, someone will lie and say they can help, even if you are not locked out.
So much to worry about, especially online.
The online world can be very daunting, you just have to be extra careful if possible about what you choose to share!
