Seven Seater

Last week, with the help of my brilliant son, we bought a Chevrolet. A seven seater beast, which looks more like a van, is the newest we have ever owned. It is as big as our old vehicle, but is more roomy. We have named it Lenny Tardis.

It is bigger on the inside.

Both my daughter and husband have driven it, but I am rather nervous.

Mostly because their first words were, we are not sure you possess the capability to handle it. That could be true, but I managed a Vauxhall, and that wasn’t small.

I am going to drive it today, in an empty car park, so I will get used to the gears, and the gas pedal, which only needs a light touch. The other thing I have to remember is to put diesel in, not petrol. Luckily, it says diesel over cap.

We sold our old vehicle to ‘‘We Buy Any Car’’ at a reasonable price.

It will be lovely to be able to drive the new car.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Ah, congratulations. It sounds like quite an experience getting used to that car, and remembering the right fuel to use. I’m sure you’ll get adjusted to the switch without too much trouble, though. ^_^

  2. Don’t listen to those naysayers, Diana!

As for the diesel… usually, the size of the nozzle is different, no? Of course, I cannot remember if the diesel one is smaller or larger.
