Book Review – Unholy Murder

Unholy Murder by Lynda La Plant is the latest book I have gone through this year. Jane Tennison investigates a cold case. During building work, they discovered a coffin with the body of a nun. The only clue to her name is a cross she is wearing. Her bosses think it is too late to uncover the killer, but she wants to uncover the events surrounding the death of the young woman. When they discover it was murder, she works with a team of detectives to solve the case.

Suspects include bishops, nuns, and the owner of the building company.

I would highly recommend anyone interested in detective thrillers to give this book a read. It shows how difficult it was for women in the police, during the eighties. I enjoyed watching Prime Suspect, and she younger, and less experienced detective won’t disappoint anyone who reads this book.
