Not On Camera

1. Do you like having your photograph taken? Not really, although I love the photographs with my family.
2. Did you have a school photograph taken every year? Yes, without fail. Although I only have one of me at school, with a haircut in the shape of a bob.
3. Do you take photographs using a phone or standalone camera? I use my mobile; I do not own a camera.
4. Are you any good at taking photographs? Not on a camera, although using my mobile is a lot better.

My brother’s wedding when I was twelve. I’m only half in the picture.

My nieces wedding almost twenty two years ago. I’m at the end, with my son, and my daughter is in the blue skirt. Next to me is mum.

A picture of me in infant school. I am on the third row, sitting next to the girl in the peach cardigan.

My wedding photograph. All the little ones in this picture are married with children of their own.

Time passes so quickly; but I am grateful for these images, because my heart smiles when I see family and friends. Those who have passed, like my old dog Scamp, mum, dad, and sister, are never far from my thoughts.

A reason to smile.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
