1. The sun is shining as I type this, so my first question is:
After the cold weather of Winter, what is the first thing you like to do when the sun shines?
I clean my paving slabs and get the garden tidy. I have a swing and a wooden house for my granddaughter outside, so it needs to be ready for her.
2. Do you tan easily?
No, I go red first, and then I tan.
3. Have you / would you use a nudist beach?
No, too embarrassed to show anything off. Although we nearly went on a day trip there. I pointed out a naturist reserve, until my daughter said it wasn’t a good idea, as it wasn’t that sort of nature lol.
4. Were you any good at building sand castles?
I loved building sandcastles, building moats, making beds, and chairs out of sand to sit on. My dad sat in his deckchair, sleeping. Mum made excuses that it was too hot, so she could go and play bingo. We went to Margate. After the beach we played prize bingo, which children could play. For those bloggers not in the UK it is where you have to get a line of the same colour, or all of the numbers. You collected tickets and at the end of the holiday could claim prizes. It was brilliant.
Gratitude – I am grateful for having holidays with my mum and dad. I remember going into a restaurant and having Horlicks, cake or fish and chips. We would see shows like Rod Hull and Emu, Charlie Drake and Lulu. We would also go to wrestling matches.
