My hero isn’t a footballer, actor, or any one famous, he is my dad, and the person I could talk to about anything; if he were here today, I know he would tell me that everything would be okay and not to worry about things I cannot control – I miss our conversations, but he is watching over me, with the same protection he did when I was a child.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
