Sunday Special

Thinking of what do to on a Sunday. Whether it be painting by numbers, or walking my dog Titan. It is good to take time out to do something other than writing. I take inspiration from my main character Martha.

She is a painter, but hasn’t picked up a brush since the death of her husband’s mother. Thomas changed that day. His controlling actions wrapped her marriage in a blanket of barbed wire.

When she finally picks up a paint brush again, she has learnt that perfection has no worth. She recognises the colours for what they are and change comes in the form of an unlikely friendship.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
