When I moved to my new home three years ago I thought the solar panels would be a great asset. They would save me money on my bill (which they did) and all would be good.
Three years along and the only thing I would give as a negative are the pigeons. They have decided to roost underneath my solar panels. Not only that, but they’ve called their mates it seems. From a few on my roof, there is a whole family of pigeons.
I wouldn’t mind so much, but they constantly shit everywhere. My neighbours have had enough and so have I. So I called someone today about putting netting around my solar panels, and hedgehogs in my gutter to stop them roosting.
Let me just say, I would never hurt any animal, and I just want them to fly away to another house. It doesn’t help that someone is feeding them bread. I was tempted to get a cat, but that would be cruel. Also, I don’t think my dog will be best pleased. Dogs tend to have to live with cats when they are puppies.
So, this time next week my lodgers will find a new place to roost. I wouldn’t mind, they don’t even pay me rent.
Squatters eh! Pay nothing, and leave a mess. 🙂

Yea, I didn’t think of that. I have had enough of them, and more importantly so have my neighbours. I’m putting netting around my solar panels so hopefully they will fly away somewhere else.
