From Word Prompt – #Minifictionchallenge

Net curtains on the alert, I don’t want to answer the door. Yet he keeps on knocking. I took the loan out because I wanted to get my little girl the present she always wanted, now it was clear the interest threatened to lose us our home.

She just wanted to fit in.

Now I’m scared to open my front door – I thought I could afford the repayments, but one week I couldn’t pay. The interest at two hundred percent piled up demand letters on my welcome mat.

He knocks again, and I know I can’t escape.
