Mama Bear – My Beautiful Girl

I have posted late today because it is my granddaughter’s birthday party. She is only two, so probably won’t remember this day. Even though my son’s best friend dressed up as Daddy Shark. It made the children’s day. They spent most of it running around him and having the time of their lives.

My granddaughter looked at him, smiled, and then just went on her way. She has never been scared of anything much. I’m glad of that because she will always be a strong character.

It was a great day, full of unhealthy food, and definitely not a slimming friendly day, but that’s what parties are all about.

I don’t say it enough, but I am proud of my daughter in so many ways. Not only is she an amazing Mum, who worked hard to make her day unforgettable. She is Mama Bear, but not only to her daughter, but her friends and family too.

She has a large heart, and will always be there for anyone who needs help. She protects all around her, and I will always protect her. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for her.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
