Going out Halloweening with my daughter (30) and granddaughter (2) reminded me of the days I used to take out my daughter and son when they were young. I taught them never to knock on doors where there may be the elderly, or where the house was in darkness.
Pre-Covid and it was safer to knock on doors. There was one house, which had a note. Covid in this house – which could have been a way of no-one knocking on their door, but we weren’t going to take any chances.
My daughter will spray all the candy they got, and make sure it is safe before she allows her little girl to eat them.
Halloween is over for another year, and thanks for all the word prompts, they definitely have given me the hope to write. Whether it be a poem, story or something out of my life.
Roll on next year.
