Santa has been busy while children were asleep,

Gifts under the tree without a peep,

All present and correct on Christmas morn,

Presents unwrapped, the paper torn,

A Christmas tree littered like wedding confetti,

Let’s celebrate the day with a cup of tea,

Getting ready for lunch, a sizable feast,

Cooking the turkey, a beautiful beast,

We will eat till we’re full to the fore,

then we will eat some more,

Veg in front of the TV with a celebration treat,

It’s Christmas day, Merry Christmas, it’s all so neat.
