Premier Night

In honour of the premier of my play and four other talented amateur writers tonight

Don’t be afraid to go in the limelight, you have worked hard to get where you are.

I would much rather be writing than talking about myself, but I deserve this (repeating it in my head). If I say it often enough, I might just believe it.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Congratulations, yes I love to write and I have the time. Just finding it hard to find a publisher, I have finished one book and have another in mind already. Enjoy Hilda.

    1. Finding a publisher is difficult, I self published my book in the end because I worked on it for seven years. I hired an editor, who helped me see where I was going wrong. I think paying for that is the most important thing. I was lucky to find an editor from someone I knew at a writing group I go to. If it wasn’t for her, my book wouldn’t be as good.
