A letter a week is a word prompt from https://nopenotpam.com/. Her task, should we choose to accept it lol, is to use the following words in a prose, or poem.

Now onto J:

Place – jumping jacks

Emotion – jarred

Adjective – jolted

Verb – jiggle

My animal – jaguar

A lifestyle change was how Mavis’s doctor put it.

More exercise, eating healthy, and joining a slimming group were the suggestions. She didn’t want to join a gym, but she had no choice. In new sports attire she watched as the instructor showed her how to do jumping jacks. Every time she tried to complete the move, her legs and arms jarred into each other. She jolted from one move to the next and all her fatty bits jiggled like bubbles.

Why didn’t the hands of the clock move?

‘Right ladies, just think of your spirit animal, and stretch.’

Mavis thought of her spirit animal, a jaguar, and wished she could run out of this class. She would have a Pina Colada (part of her five a day) and start the diet tomorrow.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
