Unique

  1.   Do you own your own home, rent, or something else? I am lucky enough not to have a mortgage, and own my house. Although I needed to move up North to be able to do that. My daughter lives five minutes away, and my son lives at home with his best friend. My brother lives two hours away, and it is the one downside of being so far away from where I used to live.
  2.   What is your favourite ‘go to’ food when you’re feeling under par? Cake, cheesecake, biscuits, chocolate and lots of them.
  3.   Do you indulge retail therapy? Not really, my therapy tends to be based on sugar and comfort eating.
  4.   How many pairs of shoes do you own? Not that many – I have a pair of shoes I wear for work, two pairs of sandals for home, flip flops, two pairs of high heeled shoes, for going out. One pair I don’t wear because they are too high and I am fifty-seven and heeled boots.

I am unique, in a way I am grateful for because it is better than being boring. There is autism in our family, and when doing some training for work, I realised I had more traits than I thought I did, especially with my social interactions. That doesn’t matter; we are all different and it makes the world a better place.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
