Party Time

Today is going to be a quiet day for blogging.

We are too busy being secret squirrels and getting ready for someone’s special birthday. Turning sixty isn’t something you do every day, so we are going to celebrate in style.

I’m not great at keeping secrets, if I remember rightly, it was a ten year old me that told my parents about their twenty fifth wedding anniversary. I find it so difficult not to blurt things out.

I am quite proud I have kept this secret.

To be honest, the amount of time spent with my daughter this week, I’m shocked he hasn’t realised. I hope it goes well, as he deserves a good party. Although I’ll be the one in the corner falling asleep with a drink in my hand.

So in the space of an afternoon, I need to get my hair cut (it badly needs it) go help my daughter set up for the party. It is lucky my husband doesn’t look at my website (he is dyslexic, so things like this don’t interest him)

I am able to say it is happening, without him even knowing.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
