What Could She Do

A melancholy sort of day, spent relaxing on the sofa, perhaps an afternoon nap would do, she thought, as she typed up the last of her list of not to do’s today.

What could she do? On such a balmy day as this, the only thing she could even think of would be to have a long cold lemonade top (lemonade and ice-cream), watch a bit of television, and rest.

Tomorrow, on Monday, she could start work afresh, without feeling quite so lethargic. If she didn’t wake up at five am again . . .

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
