Writing Prompts

Written in response to https://fivedotoh.com/2023/08/29/truthful-tuesday-preferred-prompts/

The question, this week is about writing prompts. What do we prefer? Q and A or where you write a story, poem, or piece of prose. It depends on my mood. There are times when I can write creatively with just one word, phrase or picture. It is great to see where my imagination will take me, and where others, with the same prompt have something completely different.

There are days, when I am tired, and the thought of writing anything overloads my mind. The Q and A prompts are then my go to, because all I have to do is answer a question from my point of view.

Today, this prompt made me think about what I do write about. Before blogging I would never delved into writing Science Fiction or written poetry quite as much. My short story writing skills have improved because I can practice every day. I hope other bloggers enjoy reading my posts, whether they are answers or a piece of creative writing.

Whatever the writing prompt I enjoy them all in equal measure.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
