Adam peered over his mobile phone, not sure it was the right person he was thinking of. Ten years since he worked in Tesco, perhaps he was mistaken. She always made him laugh; the customer bingo game.

‘Hi, long time no see. It’s Sheila.’

‘Thought I recognised you. Here take a seat, I’ll pay for the coffee this time.’

‘Let’s play for it, see that woman over there, in the blue shirt, I reckon she will spend three pounds.’

‘You’re on, my guess seven.’

She got to the till, two pounds fifty two and Sheila grinned. ‘I win, mines a latte.’

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
