Future

With inspiration from https://mindlovemiserysmenagerie.wordpress.com/2023/09/10/sunday-confessionals-futurism/

As I watch my grandchildren grow up, I can see they are very much part of the future. They will understand far more than I will ever be part of. I have seen so many changes since I was a child. The first was the video recorder, which turned into DVD, and now is on the numerous apps we have on our television. I listened to my music on cassette tape, records, CD’s and now we download our music from another app.

As a nearly sixty year old woman, I understand there will be more changes to come. AI has started to become a reality. We do worry about climate change, yet there is still hope with those who can make a positive move for the better. We are using less plastic, in our products. Electric cars are being built, which are better for the environment.

I hope I will be able to see the positive changes, because I remember a time when there was so much fog in London, you could smell the difference. Now the air is a lot cleaner in many ways. It isn’t perfect, but it is slowly getting better.

In twenty years time, technology will be more advanced; I do think there will be robots, pretty much like human beings. Mobile phones will evolve, the way we watch television will be different. Even now we are going away from boilers to Heat Pumps.

There will be people, who can make our future better.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
