For what reason or purpose did you start blogging? Has your reason changed over the years? If so, for what reason or purpose do you continue to blog? I started blogging to promote my book. I self published about a year ago, and it was my daughter’s idea to write a blog.

My book ”It Won’t Happen Again”, on Amazon, is about a woman, who is a victim of domestic violence. It is her journey from victim to survivor. It also has the points of view of her daughter, and the mistress of her husband. PTSD is a big theme of my book, as you don’t have to fight in a war to have suffered.

I got more than I bargained for – I started taking part in the word prompts, and found an amazing group of talented writers. Different in our viewpoints, we are an eclectic bunch. I love each and every take on the word prompts. Being a writer is a lonely occupation, but blogging gives me a chance to reach out, across the world, and find friends I would never have known otherwise.

Sometimes writing on my blog stops me from writing my novel, but I try and write in the morning – if I have time.
