Let’s Celebrate Love

My answer for

Their question: What do you think is an ideal way to celebrate or mark a new year? Unbridled celebration? Traditions? Self-improvement/reflection? A week of public holiday? All of the above? None of the above?

My answer is with family.

Every New Year I go to my daughters house and we see the new year in with a board game, drinking, and just being together. One year we played D and D, last year it was Monopoly. I get to spend family time with my daughter, son, granddaughter and husband.

I am getting to the age, where going out is too tiring, and I prefer being indoors. I don’t need the fireworks, or big parties, just my loved ones around me. My love for them is bigger than any expensive night out.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
