Neighbours

Written in response to https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2023/09/18/share-your-world-18th-september/

1.  How well do you know your immediate neighbours? I know them to chat with, but we are not close. A lot of our neighbours have moved – one to Skegness, and the other moved about a month ago. Our new neighbour is pigeon obsessed. Since he moved in we have had two expensive jobs to our solar panels and guttering. (fake owls, netting, and sparkly surfaces). He even sent me a What’s app message about his ideas to stop the pigeons. I know he means well, but I’m not spending any more on the roof.

2.  Do you notice changes in your neighbourhood : ie. new car, new dog, home improvements, etc. We live in a cul-de-sac, where there are houses all around a small area of green. The new owners have not moved in, but there have been builders around for the last month. New windows, rubbish taken out of the house, and I am assuming the inside of the house renovated. I reckon it is going to be rented out, or sold to make a profit.

3.  Should new neighbours move in next door, do you introduce yourself once they are settled in? I introduced myself to my new neighbour.

4.  Have you ever had to complain to your neighbours? No, but plenty complain about me. Even though I have done a lot to stop the pigeons roosting around my solar panels, it is apparently my fault the pigeons stay there. Although they agree I have spent a lot of money this year, and to for me to call the council and class them as pests. I do agree, they are pests, but other people could call them too.

I am grateful for my children, their hugs always make life ❤

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
