1. When you were a child, did you have your friends round for tea even if it wasn’t your birthday? Were you invited to stay to tea at a friend’s house? I was always around my best friend’s house for tea, and she was invited to mine. Although her house always had the best food. There was something about the spicy coating on the breaded chicken, which tasted so good.
2. What was your first job in adult life?
I was a typist and lasted a month. I kept on making mistakes, and had to use quite a lot of Tipex. It was an electronic typewriter, as computers weren’t around so much then.
3. Do you enjoy shopping (food, clothes, gifts etc) It depends on whether I have the money to go shopping. I like Christmas shopping because it is nice to make people happy. Even the little gifts, which make everyone smile.
4. What was the best bargain you ever got? I love going to a car boot (a British yard sale). You can get some really nice clothes, toys, or bric-a-brac there. I don’t care if it is not new, as I am using the object again.
I am grateful for the rain, because it creates life and puddles.
I would never make it as a typist either. Takes me forever to type out my WP things. I stepped in those puddles you like so much. 🙂
We need some rain badly. 😦

I’m having a really hard time posting a comment to your blog. Just me. So easy elsewhere and then a few it takes several tries. So irritating.

I’ve had a similar problem with other blogs.

We love car boot sales too. We had no money to spare so presents for our first Christmas together came from car boots. Everyone got something and seemed pleased with our choices. It was a lot of fun and we have been sellers as well as buyers. Thanks for joining in Diana.

I think it’s a British custom to go to friends homes and have tea as kids. We do it as adults but never had tea at a friends home as a child
