Absquatulate

I couldn’t absquatulate my words to say no; after ten minutes of his tirade, enough was enough.

Digging deeper into my courage, I finally found something legible to say. ‘Sorry, but I don’t need any double glazing, or my guttering being done. To be perfectly honest,  I just want to finish my coffee before it goes cold. So I am politely asking for you to piss off!’

Was I brandishing my knife with a flourish? I’m not sure, but he got out of there sharpish.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
