I have learnt to be more accepting from my children.
Growing up in the seventies, it was a different time. Anything seen as different wasn’t tolerated. I would like to say I was charitable towards other people. But I see now, that wasn’t enough. It is more important to understand their are differences and simply not care they are there.
Humanity would certainly be boring without our diverse nature.
It helps when we are taught from an early age to be more accepting. My parent’s were of a certain generation, but with my friendships, they learnt off me. When my grandchildren go on their own journey, they will teach their parents.
In time discrimination will be a thing of the past, but it will take time.
I agree it will take time and a lot of it to banish discrimination!

Yes it will. There is more understanding now, but it isn’t perfect.
