Shopping

1.  When food shopping, do you prefer to shop online or in person? I do the weekly shop with my husband. The only time I shopped on-line was when I had Covid and couldn’t get out.
2.  Do you take/stick to a shopping list? I don’t bring a shopping list. Although, I do add up in my head while shopping. At least that way I don’t spend too much.
3.  Do you shop around or are you store loyal for convenience? There are things I cannot buy in Aldi’s. I go there because it rarely sells brand names and is cheaper than Tesco. Although, I have to buy my husband’s caffeine, zero coke in another shop.
4.  Roughly how long does it take you to do a weekly shop? We can do the shopping in about half an hour. There are only three aisles and it doesn’t take that long.

I am grateful I don’t go hungry.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Thanks for joining in Diana. Aldi’s baked beans used to be reasonably priced and tasty, and we get Hubby’s rice puddings there as for 25p, at the moment they are good value. Lidl do a similar range for the same cost, but shake the can, and it’s a lot of milk. I confess to doing most of my shopping in Tesco now as I can take advantage of special offers that would apply to us, plus I’d rather pay a little more for better quality rather than cheaper and end up throwing it away. For our monthly big shop we use to shop around, but now we seem to do a weekly shop, one which will be more than others as we get dog food for the month and stock up on a few things. We used to do a lot of shopping in Wilko for cleaning products and toiletries. I haven’t found a reliable alternative yet so glad we stocked up before they closed down.
