‘You’ve been my only confidant, and I wish you could go with me. It’s just that I need to break free. I will only end up like Mum. He is so angry, all of the time. You are better off here, he will always be there for you.’
You couldn’t understand me, as I neighed to plead you to stay.
I kept her secret – she packed one small rucksack, and headed south. A tiny human, barely old enough to survive. It has been days; I half expected her to return. The days spent pacing the small square I call my home has to stop.
A nudge with my nostril, the air current pushes my resolve; I will save her.
I have not been seeing your posts in my reader! I rechecked and you are in my list and I resubscribed. You are always so kind with your comments. Will go back and read a few of your recent ones. 🙂
