A New Year

Written for https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2024/01/01/share-your-world-january-1st-2024/

1. Did you stay up to see in the New Year last night? I saw January in with my daughter, son, grandson, granddaughter, other half, and my daughter’s partner. It was a quiet evening, playing board games and eating snacks.
2. How are you feeling this morning? Not too bad, a little tired, but only because I stayed up when I got home watching the drama, FBI.
3. Are there any special occasions/events coming up in 2024 (weddings, special birthdays, babies) I have booked to visit Dorset. This year there are no weddings, or special birthdays. Although, we will do a lot of work in the house and will be buying another car.
4. What was the highlight/s of 2023 for you? My husband turned sixty, my niece fifty, and there were two eighteenth. Going away with my family, and spending time with them is always important to me

I am grateful for a roof over my head, a warm bed, and a place to rest. There are many homeless on the streets. Wars happening across the world. My granddaughter doesn’t have to worry about bombs falling and has the right to an education.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
