It’s the Truth

We are only nine days into 2024, so I am not sure how the rest will go. I have a numerous jobs to save up for. My car has a yellow warning light showing on the dashboard. It is because the sensor fitted isn’t the same as the model. It is not worth bothering about. We are buying another car. I am also removing my decking and put having paving slabs instead. It is dangerous, and we cannot relax in the garden because we could step right through. Furthermore, more spikes will be ordered and fitted around my solar panels to deter the pigeons from roosting there.

2023, or the last couple of years, hasn’t be’t been brilliant. My brother-in-law died, and he named me executor. Luckily, we had all the relevant paperwork, but it was an huge responsibility, and I didn’t want to let anyone down.

I have booked a holiday because I think it is essential to take a break. We will have a holiday in the summer because my term dates have changed. Not that it makes a lot of difference where I live. We had lovely weather in May and our weather cannot be relied upon in the summer.

Today I received my feedback about my story ‘Orvieto’ and I have glanced through the findings. On their advice, I will print it out, read and highlight the suggestions. It has potential, which is positive.

So far this year is okay. I am in credit with my gas and electricity, and the direct debit has gone down.

Everyone I love is protected, and so are we. Whatever else is about to happen, I want my family to be safe.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
