This whole crazy chain of events started when I accidentally picked up the wrong suitcase at the airport. My favourite pastime was going on holiday.
Theirs, I’m not so sure.
When I peered inside, there was no sign of my swimming costume, fancy dresses, and stilettos. Instead were a sensible pair trainers (not even the expensive kind), a laptop, a notepad, several pens. There were clothes, but miles too large.
Curious, I tapped on the screen, with red roses as a screen saver, and tried 1234. Perhaps there would be some idea for its owner. Unable to log in, I looked at the notepads. An axe murderer or a tree surgeon. Either way, I wouldn’t want to meet them in a dark forest.
I was in luck; a number in one of the trouser pockets. I swiped my mobile and dialled. The man who answered was nothing like I imagined. ‘
‘Hello?’
‘Hi, the name’s Charlie, and the suitcases got mixed.’
‘Thank goodness for that. Sam was really concerned his computer went missing. He is on a writing retreat, and the only copy of his novel is there.’
His list now made sense; hammer, acid, rope and five ways to get away with murder. ‘That’s good. Is there a safe place we can swap?’
That’s a great story! Getting the bags mixed up is a nightmare, glad this story has a happy ending.

Very clever, Diana. My mind didn’t go to anything remotely like this. I love how all the responses are so different.
