Unconventional, and to describe writers in that instance, is mostly correct. We see the world differently. A colour, an object, a conversation, and it sparks our interest. I love participating in word prompts because it leads everyone in various directions.
Some write a poem, while for others it is a story. Today, it has caused me to ponder on an author’s quirks. Most of my friends at the school, go home and relax. I am on their website for hours. Yes, they have other hobbies, but I cannot talk about it without losing their interest.
Their favourite response is, ‘‘oh, that’s a lovely hobby.’’ You take a deep breath, smile and move on with your day. Being an author is about developing a plot, character, and pace. Not to mention grammar. If you self publish, there is marketing, and hoping someone will buy your book.
An unpaid job is more apt.
When I was writing my novel, ‘‘It Won’t Happen Again’’, Martha was as much a real person as the people I was interacting with, or when meeting with my family. I completed all the extra chapters in 2020. The government’s lockdown, and now there were no excuses to not finish it.
with an editor helped me transform a string of letters into a creation that I was proud of. It is not easy because most of us struggle with doubt. How many of you have spent years on a project? Me too. I am working on two; a romance and a thriller, and have been for the last four.
Unconventional, different, and crafting words, where your reader can follow your heroine on her journey. For me, that is amazing.
I love writing, it is a passion of mine, I have to write every day, or my day is not complete!

Me too, if I don’t write it feels strange. A passion is the right way of talking about writing.

For me, writing is living the lives of the characters I’m writing about. It’s more than just writing!

Yes, it is not a hobby, I agree. It is something we are all dedicated to doing.

I write poems mostly. Not sure if what I write is called poetry. Poetry seems a step above writing a poem. Many of my poems do tell a story. I’m always thinking of eight syllable lines that might start a poem. The trouble is I think of them while washing dishes and can’t remember to write them down. 😦

I get that feeling, or dreaming something and forgetting it.

I love to write. To me, it is a way to express myself and hone my creativity.
