‘You hit the nail on the head, and my … finger,’ Sam said, wrapping it with a towel.

‘Sorry, I warned you I was terrible at DIY.’

Sam glanced beneath the covering, the scarlet bruise growing like a plum. He would have let out some swear words, if it hadn’t been for the fact, his helper was the vicar.

‘How about I hammer the nails in this instance, and you hold them?’

He pulled at his dog collar, sweating a little, before taking a palm full; he wouldn’t harm a man of the cloth; would he?
