As a Child

As a child, I found it strange, we didn’t remember everything. Especially those memories we gather from being born to going to school. I suppose, it is more a feeling we keep with us. Growing up, I was lucky. I can remember the special times more than I can the troubled ones.

As a teacher once said to her students; this soon shall pass.

We bank our memories before making new ones.

Shifting them into the long term, ready for a trigger, which often happens out of thin air. Effortlessly forgotten. But. Listening to a song or observing a picture reminds the heart of a happiness that money has no part in.

Love conquers all.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
