Sparkling stars littered her ceiling

as she drifted into a maze of light.

sprinkled in brightly coloured jewels.

Each layer had a new depth.

Here she could achieve anything.

If she wanted to fly,

all she had to do was believe.

If she wanted to fight back against the bullies.

All she had to do was to stop and say

I am me.
