Disney Land

The room I am in, full of children’s toys (mostly Barbie, Ken, clothes, and a fish tank). It doesn’t seem a long time ago since she was a baby. Now she is a little girl in her own right. She has such an incredible creative mind. Yesterday she pretended to fly a jumbo jet and took me to Italy, her daddy to Disney Land and her mummy to KFC.

Apparently, it was quicker than driving.

I had tears streaming down my face when she refused to let her get off. My daughter ended up on a parachute jump with an annoyed little girl wondering why she had escaped.

It’s certain that she will grow up to be her own person.

Girls have significantly more than we did growing up in the seventies. If she dreams of becoming a pilot, there is nothing stopping her.

She can be whatever she wants to be.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
