A Little Mad

Strange how life changes into one long holiday.

We hadn’t seen each other in a while – an ocean between us. Now, in our sixties, we finally decided on the memory of a lifetime. A hire car, and with limited packing, we put a pin on the map. Cornwall to Scotland, and a cruise to the beyond.

Getting older doesn’t suggest we rest; Our family thought we were a little mad. I disagree. Retirement; thick socks, pyjamas, and knitting? Life is too short for that. Six months out of our lives to be whoever we want to be.

A tale to tell our grandchildren.

A road trip with my bestie, the aroma of coffee in our flasks, and nothing is better than a pensioner’s escapade.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
