April makes me think of Bambi and the first time I went to the cinema. The musical composition ‘Drip, drip, drip, little April showers’ was one song. Bambi, Thumper and Flower were my favourite characters. I cried when his mummy died, and so did he.
He was an amazing man. A kind person, with a large heart. He enjoyed working on his crosswords. A favourite memory is him sitting in his red chair, and us talking. I was a curious child and asked him questions about the second world war. He wrote a diary, but it went missing after a move.
I would have adored to have seen his writing.
April, and my memories of my Dad give me a reason to smile.
Beautiful to hear that your garden of memories is flourishing with such beautiful sentiments and flowers! Thank you for sharing ❤

I can imagine, I was seventeen when Dad died. It does get easier, it just takes time. ❤
