Found It

She was scouring for her birthday present for months; she was never good at waiting. Whenever her mum was cooking, or her dad was watching the television, she would creep from room to room, trying to find it. One afternoon, she searched the cupboard in the hallway. Hidden behind piles of childhood paintings and odds and ends they never used, she found it.

A PlayStation five, complete with games.

All she had to practice was her surprised face when she was given her present.

When I was younger I could never wait until my birthday. I did the same thing when searching for a present, and found a entertainment console. My daughter, very much like me, found hers.

We are too similar.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
