‘I love this show!’
‘Yea, what season are we on, anyway?’
‘Seven.’
Steve pressed fast forward on the remote, ready to watch episode one. There was always a cliffhanger. Although, when you were aware, there were another ten seasons, it was clear most of the characters would survive.
They stocked up with cake, coffee, and all the creature’s comforts. A Saturday evening Binge watching their favourite program was a calming approach. Murder, mayhem and a team of profilers catching the unsub.
It made standing in the dark, waiting for a bus a little more frightening. He half expected someone to jump out of the shadows. A car to drive by and offer a lift, which never ended well. Why did they leave with a stranger so willingly? He had no idea that there were so many ways of killing a victim.
It was a surprise he didn’t have nightmares, but oddly enough, there was something soothing when the antagonist got caught. Was their existence a game? A series of events written, planned, and shaped into reality?
If so he was due an upgrade.
Very interesting piece
